Spring Tea at Heritage Square - May 11th

A feast fit for 'Downton Abbey'

Enjoy an afternoon filled with 'Downton Abbey', tea, scones, trivia and prizes on Saturday, May 11th 2-4pm at Heritage Square. Catered by Fresh & Fabulous Cafe. Dress in the style of the show, as your favorite character, or just as yourselves. Dust off your favorite tea party hat or dress up a new one to enter in the prettiest hat contest. Voting will be by audience participation. Music for the Occasion will be presented by Sam the Piano Man. Advance reservtions for the tea are required, cost is $35 per person and $25 for children under 12. Call or stop by the square no later than Fri. May 3rd. Call (805) 483-7960 for reservations. There is also a marketplace at the Tea where guest can purchase jewelry, home decor items, teacups, clothing, and gifts of friendship. This tea would be a wonderful Mother's Day Gift!

Weekend Tours

Step back in time to the Victorian era each Saturday, from 10 to 4 or Sunday from 1 to 4. Docents  provide information about the architecture and the community leaders who lived in the original homes, built between 1876 thru 1910. For approximately 45 minutes, explore another world that had strict social rules and dress codes. Tours are $5 per person. Free tours are offered the first Sunday of the month. Tours start at the Heritage Square Visitor Center at 715 S. A st, next to the water tower.
