About Us

The Friends of Heritage Square is a volunteer organization that was established in 1993. The group provides regular tours and school field trip experiences of the Square and helps to interpret the importance of its structures through ongoing research and training. They also support other community activities in Heritage Square and Oxnard and can be seen, generally in costume, at the summer concerts, holiday events, and community festival. Funds raised from seasonal teas, gift shop sales and fundraising efforts support their on-site educational programs for area school children.

Volunteers decorate the square at Christmass and other holiday's throughout  the year, as well as  hold fund  raising events like tea parties for the public to support educational programs.

Friends of the Heritage Square  enjoy group outings to other historic sites  and events together, as well as social events
